Taken at 6:00 a.m. in June 2016, this photo shows the completed State Route 85 bridge replacement in downtown Manchester’s historic district. The bridge was designed so that construction would not interrupt the rail schedule of the underneath CSXT Rail Yard, which serves as a busy district hub handling up to 40 trains per day from three subdivisions over four tracks. Photographer’s notes: “I had to leave my house in Smyrna around 3:30 a.m. to be in position at the right time.” The image is a merged HDR of three exposures taken on a tripod with a Sony a5000, 16 to 50 mm kit lens.
